It takes several months or even a whole year for the majority of Slovaks (52 percent) to save up money for their annual vacation, with only roughly one-fifth (17 percent) being able to finance their vacations alongside regular monthly expenditure, according to a survey released on Thursday. About 28 percent of Slovaks do not go on any vacations - mostly pensioners and people with elementary education - and only a tiny group (3 percent) take loans for vacations.
