A shortage of housing for workers in the automotive industry in Slovakia could result in problems with productivity, consultancy firm CBRE warned on Tuesday. There is currently no network operator in Slovakia offering such accommodation services. The firm's director of real estate research and valuation, Ján Kulhánek, added that an employer's ability to retain employees often depends on the provision of suitable accommodation, and that retaining experienced and skilled people has a direct impact on productivity and operational costs. The main driving force behind demand for such accommodation facilities in Slovakia is the automotive industry.
