The Agricultural Paying Agency (PPA) has begun to accept farmers' requests for compensation for losses caused by drought in 2017. In addition, farmers can also apply for state aid for payment of agricultural insurance premiums. The agency will pay out compensations totalling 17 million euros for drought-caused losses in 2017 plus insurance premiums, in the amount of 4 million euros.
