The protection of tangible and non-tangible traditional folk culture was the main topic of the 29th meeting of culture ministers of the Visegrad Four countries (Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary) that took place in Vígľaš (Banská Bystrica region) on Monday and Tuesday. Believing its preservation to be in danger, the ministers are seeking the most effective tools for protecting and developing folk culture. Slovak Culture Minister Ľubica Laššáková (Smer-SD) noted that the four countries experience very similar problems in this regard.
