At the Spring NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Bratislava, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly President George Tsereteli praised Slovakia for the priorities it has chosen as the OSCE's presiding country. "Slovakia has defined its priorities very well and the Parliamentary Assembly has already supported them many times, as in such cases we don't support the state as such, but the process," said Tsereteli. At the same time, the Georgian politician appreciated not only that Slovakia has given first priority to ongoing conflicts, but especially the emphasis it has decided to place on "their humanitarian dimension." Tsereteli considers it right that Bratislava decided to strengthen multilateralism during its presidency - that is, efficient co-operation between the OSCE and other international organisations. As he said, the OSCE finds multilateralism a prerequisite for progress. "There is a lot of dialogue, but few results. Strengthening efficient multilateralism is therefore an important priority," said Tsereteli.
