Prosecutor's Office filed appeal in Henry Acorda’s case

The regional prosecutor's office in Bratislava submitted on Monday an appeal in the case of the killing of Filipino expat Henry Acorda, the TASR press agency reports. The Prosecutor demands a stricter sentence for Juraj Hossu who was sentenced in mid-May to six years in a minimum security prison without parole. Acorda, 36, who worked for an IT company in Bratislava, was attacked in the centre of the Slovak capital on the night of May 26, 2018 by Juraj Hossu when he attempted to put a stop to the harassment of his two female colleagues. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital five days later.
