František Polák, an attorney who defended an MP from the far right Kotleba People's Party our Slovakia Stanislav Mizík, was taken into custody due to suspicions of extremism last week. In Polák's flat, police reportedly found various Nazi souvenirs including a photo of him dressed in a Nazi uniform. As the SME daily wrote, he is now charged of founding, supporting and promoting an extremist movement as well as of keeping and spreading extremist materials. When successfully defending MP Mizík, who was charged of extremism due to anti-Semitic statuses on social media, Polák based his defence on the argument that Mizík cannot use a computer. In the past, Polák also defended the mafia boss Mikuláš Černák, who is currently sentenced to life in prison.
