The much anticipated matches involving the Slovak men’s Ice Hockey team have started at the Winter Olympic tournament albeit in terrible fashion.
Three games have resulted in three loses, first was 7-1 demolition by the United States, followed by a 3-1 loss to Slovenia; then an overtime 1-0 loss on penalties to hosts Russia. The Olympic tournament let’s all teams pass through to the knock out stages, leaving Slovakia facing neighbours the Czech Republic on Tuesday for a place in the Quarter Finals.
