Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák held talks in his capacity of OSCE chairman with the first secretary of the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry, Vladimir Titov, in Bratislava on Thursday. The ministry's press department informed that the meeting revolved around Slovakia's efforts to bolster the standing of the OECD in resolving conflicts. "In this context, a priority emphasis was placed on the situation prevailing in eastern and south-eastern Ukraine, as well as options for improving living conditions for inhabitants in other conflict-ridden zones," informed the Slovak Foreign Ministry. Also broached was the possibility of further development of bilateral ties. "Slovakia has an interest in developing partnership co-operation, particularly in the economic sphere, investments and trade. We also perceive a potential for intensifying our co-operation within international organisations," claimed Lajčák.
