Hockey fans in the eastern Slovak city of Košice may have noticed some disruption to public transport on Wednesday morning, as a strike was being held by drivers and some other staff of the Košice Public Transport Company (DPMK). The strike was scheduled for between 8 a.m. and the noon, with many of the public transport lines being out of service and the city authority arranging special bus lines to serve hospitals. City police officers were deployed to public transport stops to inform people that they should use different means of transport.
