On Monday evening, Slovakia will face Canada at the 2019 Ice Hockey World Championship in the eastern Slovak town of Košice. After solid performances in a 4:1 victory against USA and a 2:4 loss with Finland, the home team feels confident it could earn some points. "If we play as we did in the first match against the Americans, chances are high that we can succeed," said Slovak winger Róbert Lantoši. Slovakia has faced Canada 51 times. The Slovaks have won 23 times, lost 24 times and four games ended in a tie.
