Prime Minister and presidential candidate Robert Fico (Smer-SD) is seen as both the most-and least-trusted politician in Slovakia, according to results from a new poll from the MVK polling agency.
As many as 34.7 percent of those polled find Fico the most serious and trustworthy politician in government. Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák (Smer) ended up in second place with 21.9 percent, followed by Most-Hid chairman Béla Bugár with 13.1 percent. Next came President Ivan Gašparovič with 10.8 percent, Christian Democrat (KDH) caucus head and presidential candidate Pavol Hrušovský with 10.6 percent, New Majority-Agreement (NOVA) leader and former Christian Democrat (KDH) Daniel Lipšic with 10.6 percent, and Ordinary People (OLaNO) chairman Igor Matovič with 8.9 percent.
