Slovak President Andrej Kiska has joined a joint call issued by 21 EU-member presidents ahead of the European Parliament elections. According to Kiska, the European Union is facing serious challenges more than ever before. These challenges include the desire of a certain part of the EU population to reverse one or more integration steps, along with Brexit. On the other hand, there are also voices calling for greater integration, stated Kiska. Other presidents such as Emmanuel Macron (France), Miloš Zeman (the Czech Republic) and Frank-Walter Steinmeier (Germany) have also joined the call. The EP elections will be held in Slovakia on May 25.
