Former Smer-SD party MP Ladislav Kamenický has become Slovakia's new finance minister, with President Andrej Kiska appointing him to the post on the Government's recommendation on Tuesday. He said managing a balanced budget is his biggest challenge, less than a year before parliamentary elections. Kamenický has replaced Peter Kažimir who is the new Central Bank Governor.
