The parliamentary constitutional committee on Thursday started a public hearing of candidates for Constitutional Court judges who have enrolled for a new election. The new election involves 24 would-be Constitutional Court judges, including three new names. This is the third time the committee is hearing candidates. The election of candidates for constitutional judges is set to take place at the upcoming parliamentary session on May 21. MPs have already held elections of candidates twice, but have failed to select enough of them. They did not elect a single candidate in the first vote, while in the second they chose eight.
