Newly appointed chairman of the Constitutional Court Ivan Fiacan stated on Thursday that the Court's priority would be to reduce the number of unsettled matters and the average duration of proceedings. The Court registers 970 pending submissions which have been submitted from January 1 until now. Currently the average duration of a proceeding at the Court is almost nine months. Fiacan noted that he's glad that the Court now has two working senates, adding that he'd be even more glad if the Court was complete, as it still lacks six judges.
