The registered unemployment rate in Slovakia dropped to 5.03% at the end of March, down 0.13 percentage points from February. Year-on-year, the unemployment rate was 0.52 percentage points lower than the previous March. Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, Labour Minister Jan Richter said he had expected unemployment to fall below 5% in March, but this did not happen. In monthly terms, the registered unemployment rate dropped in all regions of Slovakia in March of this year, the most significant drop being that of 0.26 percentage points in the Presov region.
