After a long spell of drought, precipitation finally hit Slovakia on Tuesday, with local rains to continue also on Wednesday (April 24). However the drought won't be alleviated everywhere, with most of the precipitation falling in southern Slovakia, the Slovak Hydrometeorological Office (SHMU) reported on Tuesday. They also forecast a pronounced increase in temperature in the latter half of this week. "We'll see even summer days [with temperatures exceeding 25 degrees Celsius -ed.note], although the weekend will once again be marked by precipitation," they added.
