The Peugeot car factory in Trnava is predicting stable employment without major fluctuations in the next two to three years. The gradual start-up of the production of electric vehicles will not have a significant impact on the number of employees. "There is less assembly work on these cars as far as the engine is concerned, but on the other hand it is necessary to produce batteries. So new technologies are eliminating some work, but also bringing something new," said HR Director Lubomir Kollar. Groupe PSA Slovakia employs 4,500 people in Trnava. The average monthly wage of manufacturing employees reached €1,177 before taxes last year.
