MPs to choose more constitutional court judges in May

The third round of the elections of constitutional court judges will take place on May 9, states the decision published on the website of the Slovak Parliament on Monday. Nominations can be filed until April 15. Since mid-February, the Constitutional Court has been unable to function properly, since it only has 4 out of 13 judges. It is the MPs' task to nominate their candidates, out of which the president will choose half. However, due to disagreements within the coalition, MPs have already failed to do so on two occasions. So far, only 8 candidates have been put forward and President Andrej Kiska is yet to choose half of them.
