Radio Slovakia International turned 26 on Friday. On 29th March 1993, an English, French, German and Russian broadcast was launched by the public broadcaster Slovak Radio. The team is also comprised of Slovak and Spanish sections. While the latter started to be heard in 2003, the programmes for Slovak ex-pats in Slovak language were aired as early as 4th January 1993, shortly after the establishment of the independent Slovak Republic.
