Slovakia took part in 18 international crisis management activities in 2018, according to a 2018 report on Slovakia's crisis management approved by the Government on Wednesday. "The Slovak Republic was active predominantly in the areas of its foreign-political priority interests - that is, in the Western Balkans, Eastern Partnership countries and also in Afghanistan, Iraq, Cyprus, the Middle East and Haiti. Slovakia also actively contributed towards preventing illegal migration in the Mediterranean Sea area," reads the text submitted by the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry. The Foreign Ministry reported that it plans to continue international crisis management activities in 2019.
