Russian-born Slovak biathlete Anastasiya Kuzmina has won the final round of the World Cup in Holmekollen, Norway, defending her small Sprint Crystal Globe from last year. Kuzmina triumphed in the 7.5-kilometre sprint, beating Germany's Franziska Preuss by 21.2 seconds and another Slovak biathlete Paulina Fialkova by 25.1 seconds. Commenting after the race, Kuzmina said: "Today I put myself in this mindset: 'Nastya, whatever happens, don't get angry, don't think about the course of the race and try to enjoy it'. This season was more of a bonus for me than it was aimed at winning. I had no idea until the World Championships that I would be able to win a Globe. I'm glad that it worked out."
