The moratorium on campaigning and publishing preliminary results and exit polls of the presidential election in Slovakia was extended from 10 p.m. to 11:16 p.m. on Saturday due to delays in the planned closure of polling stations in Malacky, western Slovakia and Medzany, eastern Slovakia. A polling station in Malacky opened 35 minutes later in the morning due to the fact that there were not enough members of the local electoral commission. As for Medzany, the vote was interrupted for one hour and 16 minutes in the evening after a drunk man hijacked a paper ballot box and broke it up on the street. This municipal government MP was detained later on.
