Good News carollers raise record-high sum for Sub-Saharan Africa

The annual 'Good News' project involving children singing carols in households across Slovakia at Christmas time raised a record-high sum of over €1.148 million this year for development projects in the countries of Sub-Saharan Africa. According to Good News project manager Jozef Magda, the charity will support development projects in Kenya, Ethiopia and South Sudan, bringing local people a chance for a dignified life. The initiative involved 23,778 carollers who visited 64,585 families in 1,260 Slovak towns and villages from December 24-January 6.
