Motivation to buy low-emission vehicles can be enhanced by offering benefits, according to the Economy Ministry's Draft Action Plan for the Development of Electromobility in Slovakia. The benefits offered would incur no substantial additional cost to the State, according to the draft plan. The plan was discussed and approved by the Cabinet on Wednesday. The benefits being considered include a distinctive vehicle designation, permission to use lanes reserved for public transport and to enter low-emission zones, and the use of car parks designated for a narrower user group. The aim of the 15 proposed measures is to directly support the use of high-ecological low-emission vehicles and to ensure that consumers perceive low-emission mobility as problem-free. Also proposed is a financial mechanism to support the development of the charging infrastructure.
