Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak delivered a speech in the capacity of OSCE chair at the UN Security Council session in New York on Thursday. As the TASR press agency learnt from the ministry press department on Friday, he paid particular attention to looking for solutions to the Ukrainian crisis. Lajcak focused on the provision of tangible aid to local inhabitants. He also presented to the UN Security Council a proposal to develop co-operation between the two organisations in the fight against terrorism, violent extremism and climate change, as well as in support of sustainable development issues and other agendas of global import. "I think that we should even intensify our mutual co-operation in the following period. If we talk about the legitimacy of steps and their impact, nothing can replace the UN in that regard," stressed Lajcak.
