Call for Police Corps President closes Friday

People interested in the posts of Police Corps president and head of the Interior Ministry's Inspection Service Office can apply until Friday. The Interior Ministry has already received several applications. Among them, Milan Lucansky, the current Police Corps President confirmed his candidacy on their social network profile. "After considering all the pros and cons, I decided to fight and run for the post of Police Corps president," said Lucansky. The election will be held under new rules. Interior Minister Denisa Sakova said that the amendment to the Police Corps Act had introduced more transparency to the selection of the new police president and inspection chief. The candidates will be assessed both by an expert commission and by the parliamentary security committee.
