The Slovak Ice Hockey Association (SZLH) will pay the full rent of €516,046, exclusive of VAT, to Bratislava for renting the Ondrej Nepela Arena for the upcoming Ice Hockey World Championship in Slovakia in May, Bratislava City Council decided on Thursday. The association will also contribute €500,000, which it received from the state for the organisation of the championship, to investments in the arena and will pay approximately €300,000 for the operations of the arena. The investments should cover the replacement of the glass surrounding the rink, flooring and laying of additional cables for the internet and wi-fi.
The championship will be hosted by Bratislava and Kosice and will last from May 10 to May 26.
