National Football stadium officially opened

The national football stadium, also called Tehelné Pole, opened as the first Slovak league match between Slovan Bratislava and Spartak Trnava took place there. The home team won 2:0 in front of 22,500 fans, which is historically the highest attendance in Slovakia's history. It has been 10 years since the old stadium was closed and demolished and three years since the start of the construction of the new stadium, which is the most modern in Slovakia. The new stadium is the home of the Slovak national team and Slovan Bratislava, too.

The Denník N daily wrote that the ultras of Slovan Bratislava addressed Trnava with rude words, including the line "Trnava are Polish Jews" and also made sounds similar to a monkey, in reaction to one of the opponent's players.
