The Parliamentary foreign affairs committees of Visegrad Four countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) are urging the European Commission, the United Kingdom and all other EU member states to seek solutions that would ensure a controlled departure of the UK from the EU, said Slovak Foreign Affairs Committee chair Katarina Csefalvayová (Most-Hid) on Tuesday. Lawmakers of V4 countries believe that the deal hammered out by the EU and British Prime Minister Theresa May is the best possible under the circumstances. Although the UK is due to leave the European Union on the 29th of March, no deal has yet been agreed as to the future relationship between them. The question of whether to delay the UK's exit until a deal can be made - or possibly another referendum held, which could overturn Brexit altogether - is being hotly debated by lawmakers within the UK under growing pressure of the impending deadline.
