President Andrej Kiska urged all original nominees for Constitutional Court judges who did not succeed in Parliament to repeat their candidacy. During a visit to the Constitutional Court in Kosice on Thursday, Kiska declared his readiness for full cooperation in appointing the judges. The head of state met with three Constitutional Court judges and discussed the operations of the court, now severely undermined by the shortage of judges on the bench. The President will not yet select the chairperson of the Constitutional Court from among four judges who remained in their post.
