Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) has invited representatives of dissatisfied farmers from all over Slovakia to a Cabinet session set to take place on Wednesday (20 February). The farmers arrived in Bratislava on Tuesday for a multi-day protest. During his visit to Jerusalem, Pellegrini told journalists that the farmers were invited to present their problems to all the Cabinet ministers. Ministers responsible for areas in which the farmers are experiencing problems will then have a chance to address the issues raised. The farmers arrived on 100 tractors from across Slovakia, hoping to voice their discontent with the current state of agriculture. They have agreed with the Bratislava City Authority that they will gather at 11 locations, mostly on squares. The protest is expected to end on Thursday evening (21 February) or Friday morning (22 February).
