Public broadcaster RTVS, the mother company of RSI, has entered the Digital coalition. It will now not only promote the activities of this platform but also create jobs for students to work in the IT sector within RTVS. The national coalition for digital skills and jobs was established in 2017 with the goal of bringing together private, public and NGO institutions in a common effort to solve the lack of digital skills. After an anniversary session of the Digital coalition on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Informatisation Richard Raši (Smer-SD) stated that employers in Slovakia were currently talking to 25 Slovaks living in Britain about their return to Slovakia and working conditions. The pilot event Work in Slovakia - Good Idea! took place in January in London. Seven companies were looking for IT specialists from the IT sector.Following the event in London, the Foreign Affairs Ministry is preparing more such events abroad. "Via active economic diplomacy we want to support companies experiencing a lack of labour and eliminate the obstacles that IT specialists experience when returning to Slovakia," stated Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák (a Smer-SD nominee).
