Slovak farmers have announced a new series of protests. The rally of tractors will start in Kosice on February 18 and after crossing the country, they plan to meet in Bratislava the next day. By this action, they want to point to money being wasted in the agriculture sector. Farmers summarized their demands in four points: land division, forestry, EU subsidies and corruption. Agriculture Minister Gabriela Matečná perceives the upcoming protest of discontented farmers as a political activity. Farmers cultivating small and middle-sized plots converged on tractors upon Bratislava back in June 2018.
