The average price of apartments in the last quarter of 2018 grew at a robust pace of 3.4% as compared to the previous quarter. On the other hand, the average price of family houses decreased by 0.2%. Thus, the average price of housing soared in the 4th quarter of 2018 as compared to the previous quarter, by 30 euros per square meter, to 1,463 euros per square meter. In 2018, the average housing price grew by 5.2%, less than in the previous year (which was 6.3%). The National Bank of Slovakia announced this in a press release on Tuesday. According to the central bank, in the fourth quarter of 2018, the average price of apartments went up significantly - by 60 euros per square meter - to 1,787 euros per square meter.
