Good times about to end, Slovakia not prepared

Opposition MP Eduard Heger of the party Ordinary People (OLaNO) said on Tuesday that the good times are coming to an end, and that Slovakia isn't ready for the years ahead. Instead of creating plans for surviving an economic slowdown, he said, the Government is creating social packages that move the country nowhere. "The state debt per capita has risen from around €3,600 to an unbelievable €8,000," stated Heger, adding that if the state doesn't have sufficient reserves, it can't help people, or protect them, in tough times. The OLaNO party has stated that the Government should remedy key sectors such as education, health care and infrastructure. According to Heger this isn't taking place, or is happening at a minimal pace.
