The head of the Financial Police's Intelligence Unit, Pavol Vorobjov, has written an official record that he screened investigative journalist Ján Kuciak before his murder based on an order from his superior, Interior Minister Denisa Saková confirmed on Sunday. Earlier in the week, former Police Corps President Tibor Gašpar, who served as an advisor to Interior Minister Denisa Saková, left his post of advisor after Vorobjov claimed that he had screened Kuciak on Gašpar's order. However, Gašpar denied doing so.
Opposition MP Gábor Grendel from the Ordinary People Party believes that Vorobjov should also leave his post. "As long as it's not proven that Mr. Vorobjov made a false testimony, we're not interested in dismissing him", said Saková.
