Milan Rastislav Štefánik Airport in Bratislava is unable to predict the consequences of Brexit on air transport for the moment, airport spokesperson Veronika Ševčiková said at the weekend. "Since the form in which Brexit will take place still isn't known, we can neither anticipate its impact on air transport, nor talk about any particular measures from our position," said Ševčiková. In terms of figures, the highest number of passengers at Bratislava airport travel to or from Great Britain.
Last year it was more than 487,000 passengers, said Ševčiková. Regular flights to or from London-Stansted, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds-Bradford (all served by the Ryanair airline) and London-Luton (offered by Wizz Air) are available to passengers. "All flights to these British destinations are currently planned until the end of the 2019 flight schedule without any changes," said Ševčiková.
