Some public transport lines in Bratislava will be free of charge for passengers from February 18th to March 31st due to excessive traffic restrictions in the capital, the City Hall announced on Thursday, adding that partly in this way the city wants to motivate the public to use public transport. The routes that will be free of charge are: 201, 202, 212 and the buses 75 and X72. Those using these lines regularly who have already purchased long term passes will not be refunded. Bratislava is set to face a little traffic "armageddon" as of February 15 due to two large construction projects, including a new high-end bus station for inter-city buses and the D4R7 bypass.
