Almost three hundred kilograms of meat from sick cattle from a Polish slaughterhouse were distributed to restaurants and school canteens in Slovakia. While yesterday, the Agriculture Ministry did not know whether the affected Polish beef had found its way onto the Slovak market, on Thursday the head of the State Veterinary and Food Administration Office Jozef Bíreš confirmed that the meat had also been found in Slovakia. The inspection has confirmed that beef was distributed in the Bardejov and Košice districts. Polish police is currently investigating a slaughterhouse suspected of illegally dealing with sick cattle, whose practices were secretly filmed by TVN24 reporter.
