According to the Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini, the Slovak intelligence services do not have any official information at their disposal containing specific evidence proving that Huawei poses a security risk. "We need to exercise great caution not to allow ourselves, as politicians and state representatives, to be drawn into some trade war," stated Pellegrini on Wednesday. Slovakia's position, therefore, is that until specific evidence proving the security risk is supplied, Bratislava will not act rashly. "If we wish to adopt a joint statement at EU level and take joint action, then we should have specific evidence on the table, based on which we can act in concert as the EU," added Pellegrini. The United States has recently accused the Chinese manufacturer Huawei of using its products for espionage on behalf of the Government in Beijing.
Slovakia will not yet act against Huawei
