The Ministry of Finance intends to open a debate about the potential cancelation of tax secrecy. “We would like to open a debate so that the tax secrecy in the field of corporate income tax would no longer be secret”, Minister of Finance Peter Kažimír said in an interview with the Hospodárske Noviny business daily.
The state would thus be able to publish a list of payers and non-payers of corporate income tax. Experts say that such a novelty would hit particularly large supranational companies, as some of them channel and tax part of their profits abroad although they earn the money here.
