Tourism in Slovakia saw positive trends last year and is expected to grow further in 2019, according to Tourism Association President Marek Harbulak, as quoted by the TASR press agency. "Domestic tourism performance is expected to grow at more than 10 percent this year," he said, adding that Slovakia is now able to make better use of the growing demand and attract more foreign visitors. "Strengthening interest in domestic tourism with bonuses for pupils during ski courses and stays in the country, as well as with recreational vouchers, will increase the number of domestic guests this year as well as in future years," concluded Harbulak.
