On Sunday evening, eleven personalities from the world of Slovak science, medicine, economics, arts and sports received the Crystal Wing for 2019 awards on the stage of the Slovak National Theatre. The extraordinary award for lifetime achievement, decided by the Grand Jury, was given to the doctor Kristína Križanová, pioneer of palliative care in Slovakia. Sculptor Ján Ťapák received an award in the fine arts category and the opera singer Miroslav Dvorský in the theatre and audio-visual art category. Tomáš Brngál received an award in the start-up category. He is one of the developers of the Human Anatomy VR app, which allows people to study details of the human body thanks to virtual reality.
