The third day of the session of the parliamentary constitutional committee continues with the questioning of the final 13 candidates for the posts of Constitutional Court judges on Friday. The session will end by a vote on which of the 40 candidates meet the conditions. The hearings started on Wednesday (January 23), when MPs questioned the first 12 candidates. MPs are set to elect candidates as Court judges at the next session of Parliament scheduled to begin on January 29. The terms of office of nine of the 13 Constitutional Court judges are due to expire in February. Parliament should elect 18 candidates and propose them to the president, who should subsequently appoint nine of them.
