Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Informatisation Richard Raši (Smer-SD) left for London on Thursday in order to open an event entitled 'Work in Slovakia-Good Idea!'. The event is set to offer to Slovaks living and working in the UK attractive IT jobs in Slovakia as well as help with documents if they decide to return home. Members of top management executives of international companies operating in Slovakia in the IT, shared services and telecommunications sectors will also be present at the event. "We want these people to come back, so we're going to London with job offers that could attract them," said Rasi before his departure. He went on to say that the IT sector in Slovakia is currently lacking around 10,000 professionals, while the number could double by 2020. The vice-president of the Slovak IT Association Mario Lelovsky said that due to Brexit many Slovaks will consider returning to Slovakia. "Our task is to create the best possible conditions for the return of Slovaks working abroad. These people have excellent foreign language skills and a good work profile," added Lelovsky.
