A fire broke out in the dormitory of a chemistry vocational school in Bratislava, near the Slovnaft refinery, on Tuesday. The fire began before 23:00 in the basement. According to spokesperson Alena Krčová, the Emergency Health Service sent seven teams of emergency personnel to assist. Eight people were transferred to hospital, two of whom are in critical condition, with six suffering from mild to moderate injuries, especially burns. According to Interior Ministry spokespersons, immediate assistance was provided to 80 affected students and school staff, who were moved to safety by evacuation buses and provided emergency accommodation, food and hot drinks.
