The steelworks U.S. Steel Košice (USSK) will build a new line for the production of non-grain oriented electrical steel. The new production line represents an investment worth $130 million (approximately €114 million) and will have a capacity of about 100,000 tonnes per year. The construction will start in mid-2019 and the launch is planned for the fourth quarter of 2020. According to the USSK President James E. Bruno, the construction of the new line for electrical steel is a response to customers' increasing demand.
