New action plans for eastern Slovak regions

New action plans for eastern Slovak regions

582 new jobs by 2023, an efficient use of local resources, education and human resource development, are among the goals set out in the action plan for the eastern Slovak district of Snina approved by the government on Wednesday. At their away-from-home session, ministers decided to allocate a sum of €1.2 million to the district, which was added to the list of the least developed regions at the end of April 2018. The reason for this was the long-term unemployment rate, which was almost 10%. According to the action plan,  the development potential of the Snina district lies, for example, in increasing the added value of agricultural and food production, as well as using the existing potential and capacities in industry. On Thursday, the Government greenlighted a financial incentive of €2.2 million to the district of Levoča.
